Hi, my name is Siân, and I am the founder of Trefnu VA.
Running a small business is no mean feat, and at times, it can feel like too much.
I’m here to help you create some breathing space by supporting the quieter parts of your business – the admin, logistics, and little details. That way, you can focus on what you do best – whether that’s delivering a service, managing your team, or working directly with your clients.
I work with purpose-driven small business owners across all industries – people who care about more than just profit. Whether you’re a solopreneur or in wellbeing, education, finance, tech, the trades, or any other field, I’m here to help when you’re juggling too much and want things to feel a bit more manageable.
The clients I work with often tell me they feel calmer, more focused, and relieved to finally have someone they can rely on behind the scenes. Not just to get things done, but who thinks alongside them, notices what’s missing, and suggests ways to make things run more smoothly.

Why I started my business
When I began studying for my part-time degree, I knew that trying to balance it alongside a full-time job would leave me burnt out.
After more than a decade in the corporate world, I was also craving something more meaningful – a role that would challenge me, with no office politics and more choice over how, when and who I work with.
So I made a change.
I started Trefnu VA to create a life with more freedom and flexibility, and now, I help my clients do the same. That could mean making it easier for them to step away from the daily operations.

What’s behind the name?
“Trefnu” (pronounced trev-ni) is the Welsh word for “organise”, which reflects my Welsh heritage and one of my main strengths.
Being organised isn’t just a skill for me – it’s second nature. I like bringing order and helping things run smoothly.

I’m also neurodivergent (I have mild high-functioning autism), which naturally shapes how I work – I bring structure, focus and reliability, helping things feel more manageable and settled behind the scenes.
What guides me
I’m a practising Christian, and my faith is central to who I am. It shapes my values, how I live, the choices I make, and how I run my business. I work with people of all backgrounds and beliefs, but in my experience, those who share similar values are often a good fit. What matters to me is treating people the same way I expect to be treated.
A little more about me
Outside of running my business, I’m also studying Psychology part-time, as I’ve always been fascinated by people and what shapes our behaviour.
You’ll often find me reading or journalling in an independent coffee shop, spending time in nature, hiking, trying out new recipes, or planning my next travel adventure. I enjoy staying active in a variety of ways, and I also love art galleries, films, indie and electronic music, and beaches.
